How to create individual items in ATLAS
Working instructions to upload items in Atlas for Sellers
Creating individual items in ATLAS is your initial step to form lots for sale. Simply fill out the item details per item once and and you're all set to add them to auctions as often as you like.
When the auction planner plans and publishes auctions in ATLAS, they create an 'upload' and the process of cataloguing items can begin.
The cataloging process
The process of creating items in ATLAS is shown below, and we'll provide a detailed overview of each step in this article.
How to create items
1. Create an upload
Go to ATLAS > Uploads > Click Create new upload
2. Enter upload details
- a. Give the upload a name, including the auction number (example: 12345)
- b. Click Source Language to set the language you're writing in
- c. Select the contract agreement that's linked to this upload
Click Create upload
3. Individual item creation in ATLAS
Select Create new Item
Complete the item details
Choose the product category > Item condition
Select Sale Type (No Reserve Price, Reserve Price, Allocation). Then complete the associated field and upload the items. See definitions in the glossary below.
4. Add items to auction bucket
After all items are written and checked, they must be placed in the auction bucket. This signals to the auction manager that the auction is ready to go online.
a) Go to item overview where all of your items are displayed
b) Select the three-dot-menu in the screen right above
c) Click Assign this import to auction bucket
d) A pop-up with auction buckets options appears. Select the correct auction bucket.
Once the lots are in the appropriate bucket, the auction manager can send them to the auction.
Glossary
Sales Type Definitions
No reserve price: This means there is no minimum bid amount required. The lot will be awarded to the highest bidder.
Allocation: This means that the highest bid must be approved by the seller for a sale to go through.
Reserve price: The reserve price is the lowest price that could win this item.
- A reserve price can only be set on lots exceeding €200.
- Do not use allocation with Reserve Price. Lots automatically move into allocation if reserve price is not met.
Field Definitions
Seller minimum: the minimum amount required for settlement with the seller, determined by the seller's commercial terms, and excluding any seller commissions or premiums.
Starting price: the initial bid amount displayed on the item when the auction begins.
Estimated price: the anticipated selling price for the item
