What are external references, why are they used and where are they displayed?
External references are the references from companies that are added to their auctions for the purpose of being included in their settlement documents.
Our sellers want to include their own internal inventory numbers in auctions. These (external) references are entered whilst uploading the items. External references are then printed on settlement documents and shown within the collection feature.
Where are external references visible in ATLAS?
- External reference of an item is shown in Post-Auction in Uploads>Items.
- External reference of an item is printed on settlement documentation.
- External reference of an item is shown in collection feature.

Where are external references NOT visible?
- External reference of an item is not shown on the website.
- External reference of an item is not shown on the invoice.
- External reference of an item is not shown in the broker app.
